The Boot Girdle: What We Do
Made in Texas by Texans, The Boot Girdle is a patented product that solves a problem that many people encounter in the fashion world. As you probably already know, you don't have to be a cowboy to wear cowboy boots. Traditionally, people would wear bootcut pants to accommodate the wide shaft of the boots to conceal the boot shaft and anything slimmer than that would cause the boot shaft to "print" on the pants. Not everyone wants to wear bootcut pants and The Boot Girdle provides a solution to that problem by compressing the boots circumference comfortably and allowing slimmer pants to hover over the boot shaft by reducing, if not removing, the "print" entirely. It even works great with suit pants!
The point is, it doesn't matter what kind of pants you wear, you can make just about any boot look great in them!
The Boot Girdle History
When the founder of The Boot Girdle, was looking for a product to allow him to wear his boots with suits, he kept finding bulky products with buckles that were uncomfortable and couldn't be used on his shorter shaft boots. He set out on a mission to create his own durable, high-quality straps with no visible print. The first prototype was hand-sewn with fabric he found at a local craft store. They were thin, kept the shafts nice and tight, and, most importantly, concealed the boot shaft's print from showing through his pant legs. He then took that prototype and found a material that can handle everyday use, keep its form, not show, and the non-slip rubber keeps the pant legs from riding up. The Boot Girdle is 2" wide by 15" in length. Each strap is 5" of velcro to ensure that you can wear them with virtually any boot style, while the simple, sleek black design ensures that they don't take away from the overall aesthetic of the boot.
